((00c - I took this from another site as an example of my role-play. I hope this is acceptable? If not, please tell me, and I'll gladly write up one for you.))
The word 'impossible' would not be strong enough to describe the incredible journey Jei had taken to reach this terra; venturing the Isamu Range had been a task the femme had not taken lightly, though she found, despite this, she had still under-estimated the entire scenario.
Passing the snow-capped land had proven an extreme challenge for the fae, one that she enjoyed, in a sense, despite the ache that now rippled through each blistered pad of her paw.
Never before had she tackled a mountain-surrounded land, and she knew now, she'd never even consider it again; the Winter wind had been harsh and bitter at such an altitude, moreso than it was already, and that was cruel, as it was December.
Jei would not usually have travelled during Winter, let alone over a mountain range, but she had had little, or no, choice in the matter; her previous land had been left bare. Before she had left, she had questioned a lupe as to where she should venture next - that femme had suggested, here; the land of Nibori.
Before that moment, the fae had heard nothing of 'Nibori'; she merely knew that it had suffered quite a jaded history, was dubbed as Neutral land, and had a solitary femme as Duxis. This had not phased Jei; she had a natural thirst for knowledge, driven by her intense curiosity, and she had wasted no time in setting out on direction t'ward the realm.
The evidence of her long travel grinned broadly sky-bound; the late sun was sinking at a teasingly slow pace, dipping softly in the Heaven's; a huge, shining amber mass, rippling with intense yellow, and contrasting brilliantly with the deepening sky of azure and mauve. The Winter sky had not a cloud in sight; this time of day was by far the most beautiful during such a Season, as the sky was usually left moon-washed ivor and cloudy - non-descript. So, the dying light of the sun illuminated the true beauty it concealed during the day. Jei smiled contently, realising her day of travel had ended in perfect timing, hand in hand with the turn of the day.
A long, solitary travel during Winter was obvious on the fae, too, and not just the sky. Her thick, blended pelt rippled in the soft, caressing motion of the passing breeze; she looked pleasently ruffled and rumpled, the array of colour over her bodice fluttering, passionate and deep, each fine, individual hair intricately laced with the fanning ray of the late evening sun.
A faint pulse ticked under her heavy pelt, her salmon-pink tongue occasionally drifting between the silky ebon of her lip, as she panted. She looked worn, but only if one knew her; her magnificent head was still thrown back in achievement and pride, her stance strict with confidence, and arrogance. Jei never had fronted when she was weak, but if one did know her, and know her well, they may notice the pause in her movement, or the slight rising and falling motion in her chest.
Jei's banner flicked with anticipation at her rump, her dark gaze watering from the constant assault of the wind. She sighed deeply, and stared with wonder at the beauty of the land she had stumbled 'pon; it was surrounded with a bordering of mountain, towering high in to the Heaven's, massive and impressive, mist coiling around their body, shaded a rich, natural hue. She admired the way they rivalled the magnificence and prescence of even the sun.
The fae shook her head sternly, ruffling the rest of her pelt as she did so, and began to move once more; she had paused briefly to admire the view she was offered with here, but didn't care much for scenery. The terra 'neath her step was rough, and coarse, leaving a mark barely visible on her blistered pad. There was a gradual roll in her shoulder, as she moved with an obvious grace and elegance, despite how slowly she ventured. Each aud was perked in curiosity, her crescent flaring to pick up each new scent. Jei was aware of how much of this land she would need to remember - it was all so unfamiliar; she had never explored a land such as this before. The clear air seemed to ripple with mystery, and an intense atmosphere she couldn't quite place. And, with each land she ventured, the femme remembered them as well as she could, for possible future reference.
It occured to her that the terra here was quite bare, especially compared to the land that surrounded it; there was the odd scattering of lush, emerald umbra, though it was no more than a scrap of flora. Jei shuddered slightly, realising how cold the evening quickly became. Silver mist coiled from her maw as she breathed, making a silent path in this land. The fae had been told of the Daichi Spring, located to the North of this realm - that was the main reason for her browsing this otherwise bare and daunting terrain. She flicked back her aud in irritance, pinning them back against her head, as she raised her maw and inhaled curiously. A satisfied smirk tugged at the corner of her maw, her lip curling in satisfaction; there was a strong scent of water, and close.
In the final amber light of the sun, Jei picked her gait up to a trot, and weaved through the coarse Northern terrain, following the strong, over-whelming scent of water. As she approached and slipped up a daunting slope, the femme slowed her pace cautiously, and arched her bodice in defense. Her dark gaze flicked to either side of her, as she reached the brink of the slope, and stared down at the brilliant sight that greeted her. The femme chuckled, her banner giving a reassuring twitch, as she confidently strode to the edge of a pool.
She had never seen such a pool before, and she had seen many in her time; the surface of this one was calm, and still, the surface reflecting the brilliance of Heaven, and the surrounding border of mountain. The bank closing the pool sagged, and the femme felt each pad on each paw sooth as she stepped in a damp puddle close to the very edge of the water. Her dark gaze observed the magnificence of warm steam curling in to the air, dancing in the fading breeze. The air here was pleasently warm, caressing the tired ache that Jei suffered from her long journey.
Content that she had reached her destination, the femme edged to a slope, dipping in to the depth of the pool. With hesitation, she lowered her maw, and allowed the water to soften the dry, scratch at the back of her throat. She drank deeply from the water, embracing the warmth and comfort it washed over her. Jei considered returning to this particular area of terra in the future, to swim in the elegance of the pool. It beckoned her with each distorted wave the surface rippled with.
Jei raised her head, her gaze drifting over the abandoned terra that surrounded her; it surprised her greatly, that this land wasn't the most populated of Nibori. It was secluded, and calming; not to mention, the scenery was stunning, and would never fail to impress, or amaze. The fae smirked, realising she had an important issue to address.
Her scent would possibly be masked by the water and heated steam here, she had left barely a track while venturing here, the land seem abandoned, and it was nearing the turn of the sun; whom would come to investigate her prescence on this land?
The femme was intent on joining the name of Nibori for some time, if it would be allowed 'pon her; the terra here was rich and fertile, showing promise of a good future. Jei wanted to learn, and this land could quite possibly bring her desire to an end. It was - or, so she'd heard - populated, and for those dubbed 'Neutral'. The scenery was incredible, and the location of the terra was good. True, she had heard rumour of what surrounded this land - but Jei would give the land a chance.
She had a lot to ask, but no one to cease the question stream that flooded her mind. The fae settled down, haunched, at the edge of the pool. Liquid laced each blistered pad on each sore paw, and the rising steam dampened her thick pelt.
Jei had patience, and she would wait with patience for the Duxis femme she had heard of, to come to her aid here. Calling for the Duxis, Jei considered rude and demanding. She would merely be content and curious for now, observing the carved, sculpted land, and silently investigating and assuming how quiet this realm was.
