The pure white fae gazed around, eyes filled with fear. She ran blindly, away from her home...was it really her true home? She knew that much. It wasn't where her heart belonged, in with those darks, no way.
She sprinted as fast as she could, leaping over logs and swerving round trees, with those accursed darks -literally- snapping at her heels all the way. When she came to a river a cry of despair tore from her muzzle. She had forgotten in the blind panic that was earlier that it was that wide! No choice - jump now or never jump again. Closing her eyes tight, she flung her self through the air when she reached the banks.
Time held its breath.
In mid air she opened her eyes. She was going to make it! She saw the far bank arcing closer and closer to her reaching paws. Suddenly a pain shot through her tail. Things were going in slow motion, everything was happening in second.
She shot a look behind her a split second before she hit the bank, and yelped what she saw.
One of the darks, the alphen, had leapt after her and bit onto her tail. Their weight combined dragged the she-wolf down, and her paws grazed the edge as together they crashed into the icy rapids.
Everything was a swirling mass of confusion. Cold water, hot pain, broiling rapids. She scrabbled desperately to swim, but the current was relentless, remorseless.
She choked on the icy water and everything faded into black.
She woke up sometime later, freezing and hacking up water. There was a golden wolf standing over her, looking intently.
"Did you save me?" she whispered.
The golden wolf only nodded.
"Thank-" she started to choke, but the wolf only nodded again, turned, sprang away, and was gone as fast as he came.
She gazed after him for some time, then slowly got up. She went to hunt, and slowly she recovered. Once she was fit enough to explore, bit by bit she realised that she had never been in these lands before.
That was good and bad, but she wanted to make a new start, and here was her chance. Sighing with happiness she wandered off to find a pack and settle down.
*~:From that day on Sudako has had a deep-set fear of water, and she will go psycho if you try to make her swim or anything like that. She will only drink from pools les than 3 feet deep. Also she has sworn she will find that wolf who she refers to as Salvador -saviour- and thank him, any way she can.:~*
